Thank you for visiting our campaign website.

It’s my honor to represent you on the Lancaster City Council.

The last two years have been difficult for all of us. While contradictory county, state, and federal COVID regulations have been out of our hands, we chose to focus on ways we could help local families.

We partnered with faith-based organizations and healthcare providers to provide food and supplies for those in need, as well as expanded access to Antelope Valley Hospital and the creation of emergency medical centers.

Many of our friends and neighbors were put out of work by business shutdowns, so we at City Hall created support programs for workers and small local businesses to help stay afloat. We have made significant progress in the fight against violent crime. While nationally crime has skyrocketed, we actually saw decreases in violent crime and a stronger relationship between Lancaster residents and local law enforcement.

We’ve also implemented new and innovative technology and strategies that has greatly increased the certainty of suspect apprehension, a major deterrent to criminal activity.

Additionally, being twice recognized as Los Angeles County’s Most Business-Friendly City has helped us attract thousands of new, high paying jobs. This has meant more residents working locally, avoiding long and costly commutes down below.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. I hope to earn your support to continue the great work we’re doing to improve quality of life in Lancaster.

The Right Priorities for Lancaster Quality of Life

Public Safety

In addition to serving as our City Councilman and Vice Mayor, Marvin Crist has been President of the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Boosters, working to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide bullet-proof vests and non-lethal safety equipment to Antelope Valley deputies. Prior to his election, he served as Chairman of the Criminal Justice Commission.

His focus on public safety and supporting law enforcement has led to a decrease in violent crime, even while the rest of the nation has seen increases as a result of defunding law enforcement. His commitment to fighting crime, earned him the endorsement of the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs and the California Correctional Peace Officers Association – L.A. County Chapter.

Job Development

A former firefighter and now successful businessman, Marvin Crist understands the importance of a strong economy to improve our quality of life. Lancaster has twice been recognized as Los Angeles County’s Most Business-Friendly City, helping attract thousands of new high-quality manufacturing jobs and small businesses to our region.

Senior and Veteran Services

As Chairman of the AVTA, Marvin Crist sought and received grants allowing AVTA to provide free transportation for veterans, senior citizens and the disabled. He understands how much they have done and sacrificed for us. It’s proper for us to appreciate their service and give back to them.
